22. If I were a sound, I would be: Unbridled, uninhibited laughter, the audible cluster of fathers mothers sisters brothers cousins lovers, drifting from the kitchen to all rooms in the house. Beautiful music.

And I Skewered Those Veggies Like, Wha?

Forget the stupidity of "The Village"..."Signs" still freaks me the hell out.

This afternoon, we had another fabulous BBQ at The Fly. I'm stuffed with veggie burger, veggie kabobs, and diet soda. Yum...I took some pics of the kabobs but completely forgot about the camera after that, so there are no interesting pics. We didn't do anything interesting anyway, just kind of laid around, ate, and laid around some more. It was a relaxing summer afternoon.

Tomorrow I'm working a double shift: 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM. Wish me luck!

Random pics:

Me and Rocky Balboa

My Sweet Little Teacup

Britney and Matt. Just imagine how the world would be different if these two had gotten married. Did anyone else watch the Dateline interview? And was anyone else bothered by the huge mascara clump or whatever that was over her left eye? How about Matt's sockless loafer look? Discuss.

The Last NOLA Girl Speaks...

So I've decided that, since I am the last of the group to be in New Orleans (we expect A's return, but LSU seems bent on keeping her in BR) - anyway, since I am the last, and we are all in different places, I think it's time to reenter the Xanga pages. Perhaps not daily, but enough to keep people updated. So, that said, on to what my day has been thus far:

GRRRRRR!!!!!

I couldn't sleep last night, so I stayed up and read books all night. I went to Starbucks at 6 AM (!!) so I could have a latte while pouring over submission guidelines for literary journals. Well, poo to me; they don't read submissions during the summer. So then I went to PJ's uptown and worked on a short story. That didn't go so well. So I go back to my apartment, have a pop tart, play with Rocky, and decide to go job hunting. Well, that was also a disaster because no one wants to hire me. I don't know why. I'm very lovable.

Then my PJ's boss calls me and leaves a message about increasing my hours. Oh, happy day! So I'm meeting with him on Monday to discuss. Hope I remember to do that...

Ah, well, so that's my life right now. Really boring, I know. I need to inject some excitement into my days...ooo...DAYS! That's on tv right now...I wonder what exciting Marlena quote will come today...

Peace out, foxlings.

I miss C...

I spent almost the entire day in my apartment. Finally, around fiveish, I realized I needed to get out. Claustrophobic and all that.

So now I'm watching a Dateline special on internet predators which is quite, quite fascinating. You don't screw around with Chris Hansen, man. He'll find you and interrogate you like nobody's business.

Grr. Need another job. I'll go looking tomorrow...

I just found out that ANOTHER friend is moving. Is this a conspiracy? Does New Orleans not want KC to be happy?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CUNG!

She's been one of my dearest friends for many years now, and I will always treasure her friendship. Even though we'll be a state away from one another come June, I know we'll still remain as close as ever. And besides, now I just have one more excuse to go traveling! You'd better bet Austin will see me quite a bit!

Love you, Cung!
